Material and methods: This was a retrospective study of 62 patients with diffuse large B cell lymphoma aged 80 or older. Results: In the multivariate analysis, bulky disease (HR= 3.1, 95% 1.5-6.4; p=0.003) and albumin (HR 3.8, 95% 1.9-7.6; p=0.001) were factors associated with survival. Conclusions: bulky disease and albumin were factors associated with overall survival in patients with diffuse large B cell lymphoma aged 80 or older.Introducción: Linfoma de células grandes B difuso es el subtipo de linfoma más frecuente. La albúmina demuestra ser un factor pronóstico en este subtipo de linfoma. Objetivo: El objetivo de este estudio es evaluar el rol de la albúmina en la sobrevida de los pacientes ancianos con linfoma de células grandes B difuso en un hospital general del Perú. Material y métodos: Este fue un estudio retrospectivo de 62 pacientes con linfoma de células grandes B difuso con edad de 80 años o más. Resultados: En el análisis multivariado, enfermedad bulky (HR= 3,1, 95% 1,5-6,4; p=0,003) y albúmina (HR 3.8 95% 1,9-7,6; p=0,001) fueron factores asociados a sobrevida.
