Therefore, the notion of «Yomismo», proposed by Manuel Pantigoso, will be used.En el presente artículo, se analizará el «Yomismo» en cuatro poemas visuales pertenecientes a Química del espíritu (1923) de Alberto Hidalgo. Se propone que en el poemario hay una búsqueda e intento de descubrir la esencia del «ser», por lo que el poema visual sería una gran estrategia pictórica que permite representar la desilusión y frustración ante la imposibilidad de entender el estado del hombre.
