El presente trabajo apela al marco conceptual de “la idea de la razón pública“ de John Rawls que ofrece un enfoque innovador del debate sobre las relaciones entre religión y política que parece haberse estancado en la polarización secular/no secular, para plantear que la participación de la Iglesia en el foro público es posible, válida y legítima en tanto esta tenga la capacidad de plantear argumentos basados en la razón pública. Para ello, se examina qué perspectivas dentro de la tradición católica pueden proporcionar la base teórica que la Iglesia oficial necesita para resolver las tensiones que existen en el debate Estado-Iglesia. |
