description Determina la naturaleza jurídica del signo país, establece su importancia y aporta iniciativas para su reconocimiento y protección a nivel internacional, lo cual quizás no sea posible mediante las normas de propiedad industrial existentes o tradicionales, pues, como veremos más adelante por las características propias del mismo resulta difícil incluirlo dentro de una categoría de la propiedad industrial. En este contexto, es importante señalar que cada país tiene una regulación distinta del mismo, en algunos casos se han redactado leyes nacionales para su protección, en otros casos reglamentos de uso del mismo, delegando en una autoridad competente su control y la concesión de licencias para que las personas naturales o jurídicas puedan utilizarlo en el mercado; sin embargo, creemos que es importante lograr el reconocimiento y encontrar un mecanismo de protección para este signo sui generis, que es nuevo y no encaja plenamente en ninguna figura reconocida en la legislación que regula la propiedad industrial.
