Furthermore, it distinguishes the effect based on company size and sector sensitivity among others. The findings reveal that higher ESG scores significantly correlate with reductions in idiosyncratic risk, highlighting the effectiveness of ESG practices in mitigating unsystematic risk. These results underscore the importance of integrating ESG practices into risk management improvement and provide valuable insights for investors and entrepreneurs.

El estudio aplica modelos econométricos, incorporando variables de control como el tamaño de la empresa, el apalancamiento y la relación valor de mercado a valor en libros. Además, se distingue el efecto según el tamaño de la empresa y la sensibilidad sectorial entre otros. Los hallazgos revelan que puntajes ESG más altos se correlacionan significativamente con una reducción en el riesgo idiosincrático, destacando la eficacia de las prácticas ESG para mitigar el riesgo no sistemático.
