En los resultados se obtuvieron cuatro temas: Durante el evento: diversas reacciones ante la experiencia de presenciar un intento de suicidio, Al recordar el evento: características de la experiencia considerada como traumática por quien la presenció, diversas manifestaciones del trauma tras presenciar un intento de suicidio y desensibilización de la experiencia traumática. Los hallazgos obtenidos evidencian los diversos impactos que se generan a partir de una experiencia considerada como traumática en quien presenció un intento de suicidio. Finalmente, se considera necesario realizar una mayor cantidad de investigaciones en el contexto latinoamericano con la finalidad de visibilizar el tema y a la población en mención.

For this, qualitative research was taken under the phenomenological approach. Thus, nine people who witnessed a suicide attempt were interviewed. A tematic analyisis was applied, resulting in four themes: During the event: various reactions to the experience of witnessing a suicide attempt, When recalling the event: characteristics of the experience considered traumatic by whoever witnessed it, various manifestations of the trauma after witnessing a suicide attempt suicide and desensitization of the traumatic experience. The results obtained show the various impacts that are generated from an experience considered traumatic in those who witnessed a suicide attempt.
