La implementación de las estrategias propuestas busca el desarrollo de la provincia con la finalidad de transformarla en un referente en producción, transformación y exportación de cacao fino de aroma y el turismo rural comunitario. Estas estrategias se formularon considerando las competencias y responsabilidades del gobierno provincial. En los resultados obtenidos se evidencia que a pesar de las adversidades del entorno externo e interno, la provincia de Lamas tiene potencial suficiente para ser una de las provincias más competitivas del Perú, a través de la transformación de sus ventajas comparativas en ventajas competitivas
