Descripción
Sumario:This study focuses on improving the audiological model of the organization "Oir para Crecer" in the Cajamarca Region, Peru, with the aim of addressing limitations in access to audiological health services and promoting optimal development for children and adolescents. Through a mixed approach combining qualitative and quantitative methods, factors influencing the implementation of strategies for prevention, training, diagnosis, treatment, and participation in the audiological model were investigated. The study is based on an explanatory and applied research design, using a case study approach. Information was collected from various sources, including interviews, surveys, focus groups, documentary reviews, and analysis of secondary data from the organization. The study's findings highlight the importance of parent sensitization, effective coordination for audiological screenings in schools, and challenges encountered in the process, such as absenteeism and lack of knowledge about audiological health. Both positive and limiting factors in the implementation of the audiological model were identified, providing a comprehensive view of its effectiveness and areas for improvement. In summary, this study provides concrete recommendations for strengthening the audiological model of "Oir para Crecer" in Cajamarca and offers valuable insights to enhance audiological health care in the region and beyond.
