The United Nations (1993) defines violence against women as “any act of gender violence that results in physical, sexual or psychological harm to the woman”. The present work focuses on diagnosing and preparing a Communication Plan for the Prevention and Sensitization of Violence against women at the Universidad Católica Los Angeles de Chimbote (ULADECH)-Huaraz Branch. The hypothesis is raised that the design of a Communication Plan and the application of its strategies will respond directly (univocally) to the needs of prevention of gender violence. The sample includes 120 students. Visual communication advertisements, Check List type primer (control list), Banner (advertising format), Poster, Billboards, posters and Hanging Parades, among which the Check List stands out with 93.85% acceptance compared to the others. With a common Mantel-Haenszel odds ratio estimate with an asymptotic (bilateral) significance of 0.005 for the Check List and 0.004 for the others. In conclusion, it has been possible to build an institutional communication strategy by creating a series of internal and external dissemination channels that favor the flow of information, the prevention of violence against women, with the implementation of a Communication Plan that has been made available. disposition of the authorities of the university.
