Para ello se hizo un análisis de la función del Registro de Predios, desde su creación, mediante la comparación con el antecedente más cercano al nuestro, el sistema registral español. Asimismo, se analiza la problemática a la que nos lleva la inexactitud de la descripción de los predios, entre otros, de cara a los tres principios fundamentales que irradian nuestro sistema registral. Finalmente, se hace un recuento del tratamiento a nivel reglamentario de este problema y las soluciones que se han propuesto a través del tiempo para combatirlo.
