description El Objetivo del presente estudio es determinar el nivel de conocimiento que tienen sobre la tartamudez los docentes de primaria en centros educativos del distrito de Junín, y brindar conocimientos que permitan identificar de manera oportuna al estudiante que tartamudea, tomando acciones pertinentes para que sea abordado por el especialista idóneo, minimizando, de esta manera, el impacto negativo que pueda tener en su día a día. Esta investigación tiene una perspectiva metodológica cuantitativa, de carácter descriptivo y diseño transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 60 docentes de educación primaria a quienes se le aplicó un cuestionario para medir su nivel de conocimiento; teniendo como resultado que el 58,3% de los docentes tiene un nivel de conocimiento regular con respecto a la tartamudez y solo el 15% de ellos presentan un buen nivel de conocimiento, por lo que se concluye que los docentes del distrito de Junín presentan un nivel de conocimiento regular con respecto a la tartamudez.
