Documento disponible en la Biblioteca del Ingemmet, código: P/55(852.3)/I59.El presente volumen constituye un documento geológico base para la ejecución de los estudios del Riesgo Sísmico y Microzonificación de la zona de Bayovar a cargo del Instituto Geofísico del Perú, así como para otros trabajos específicos con los que guarde afinidad a realizarse durante la etapa de emplazamiento del futuro Complejo Bayovar. Asimismo, contiene información sobre geomorfología, estratigrafía, tectónica y geodinámica externa, registrada en 13 áreas de estudio (IA de Industria Básica y Principal, IB Industria Básica Complementaria, IC de Puertos y Almacenamientos, IE de Servicios Complementarios; IF Área de Seguridad; IG Zona de Dunas y Arenas húmedas, ID Terminal Aéreo, IIA Área Urbana Bayovar, llC zona de Acondicionamiento Pesquero, IIC de Acondicionamiento - Pesquero Chulliyachi y Matacaballo, IIB Centro Urbano Sechura y IIIA Salmueras de Ramón), de las 23 que presenta el Mapa de Acondicionamiento Territorial del Complejo Bayovar proporcionado por el IGP. Se describen detalladamente las características litológicas de las diferentes unidades lito-estratigráficas observadas en los afloramientos, correlacionados con las informaciones obtenidas en perforaciones y calicatas: De esta forma se han determinado las variaciones litológicas tanto en sentido lateral como vertical y espesores de las mismas, parámetros importantes para obras de fundación. Los fenómenos geodinámicos potenciales y activos son variados, pudiendo citarse principalmente: desarrollo de cordones litorales, bancos y migraciones de arenas, efectos de deflación, erosión litoral e inundaciones tanto marinas como fluviales.
