Posta Médica de "Jacobo Hunter", EsSalud - ArequipaEl presente estudio fue diseñado para determinar algunos factores que influyen en la ausencia de pacientes a las actividades del Programa de Salud Reproductiva (PSR), y a la vez, describir las características epidemiológicas de la población adscrita al Centro de Salud Hunter, de EsSalud, en el distrito Jacobo Hunter en la ciudad de Arequipa. El estudio se propuso evaluar los efectos y limitaciones de la visita domiciliaria a las usuarias del PSR que no asistieron a sus controles ni a recibir información de los riesgos a que están expuestas. El estudio fue realizado entre enero y julio de 1999, en 552 mujeres en edad fértil de un total de 842 aseguradas asignadas al Centro de Salud de Hunter. Para la obtención de datos se usó una ficha de trabajo especialmente diseñada. Los datos obtenidos fueron tabulados, aplicándose para su análisis paquetes estadísticos computarizados. Se encontró que las 42 pacientes con· PAP positivo no habían concurrido a sus consultas de control; lo mismo ocurrió en 25.2% de 409 usuarias del Programa de Planificación Familiar y en 38.75% de 181 gestantes del Programa de Control de Embarazo. Se encontró también favorable atención de las usuarias y alta tasa de respuesta desde la primera visita domiciliaria. Así, el 54.8% de pacientes con PAP positivo tomaron para ser atendidas a menos de una semana de la primera visita domiciliaria, pero las usuarias del programa de Planificación Familiar. fueron más renuentes, pues requirieron entre 3 y 4 visitas para asistir a sus controles.This study was designed to determine some factors influencing patients’ absence to activities of the Reproductive Health Program (RPH) and also describe epidemiologic features of user population of EsSalud Hunter Health Center, at the district of Jacobo Hunter in Arequipa city. Study purpose was to evaluate assets and limitations of home visiting of RPH users not attending program follow ups to both guiding and education them about risks they are exposed to. This study was performed from January to July 1999 in 552 fertile women out of the total population of 842 women assigned to the health center for data collection a structured interview and observation guide were used with the aid of specific forms. It was found that 42 patients with positive PAP smear did not attend follow-up consultation, the same occurred in 25.2% of 409 family planning users, and in 38.75% of 181 pregnant women. Also, it was found a fair attendance to follow ups of users and high rate of response to the first home visit.
