Se evaluó los cambios hematológicos, de parámetros bioquímicos y también observando los cambios histopatológicos del hígado. Los resultados del estudio de toxicidad subaguda indican que la administración oral de Tanacetum parthenium en dosis altas tiene efectos tóxicos en los tejidos del hígado. En conclusión, se confirma que el uso de Tanacetum parthenium es seguro para el consumo humano en dosis menores a 500 mg. por Kg.
