description El presente trabajo de investigación sale de la preocupación de ver a diario cómo se va perdiendo el respeto y amor por nuestra madre tierra, evidenciándose estas actitudes en que no tenemos conciencia ecológica para cuidar nuestra madre tierra, por tal razón como alternativa de generar conciencia ecológica proponemos revisar información que nos permita implementar un biohuerto escolar, para de esta manera fomentar el respeto a la Pachamama en la escuela del nivel primario N° 50413 Virgen del Rosario del centro poblado de Sunchubamba, distrito de Challabamba, provincia de Paucartambo, departamento del Cusco. En el presente trabajo de investigación primero nos concentramos en la búsqueda de información sobre los conocimientos ancestrales y sustentos teóricos que nos ayuden a instalar un biohuerto ecológico para fomentar desde la escuela el respeto a la Pachamama haciendo uso de los saberes ancestrales en el cuidado y convivencia con la madre tierra, así mismo creemos que adoptar formas de cuidado ancestral de un biohuerto fomentará una conciencia ambiental positiva en los estudiantes de la institución educativa en estudio. El trabajo de investigación también nos permite tener mayor información acerca de la instalación bio huertos ecológicos con conocimientos y cuidados ancestrales para promover el respeto a la madre tierra y generar aprendizajes significativos que puedan ser aplicados en determinado contexto sociocultural, así mismo la implementación de los biohuertos ayudan a crear una conciencia ecológica basado en el respeto a la Pachamama, donde los estudiantes exploran y participan del Sumaq Kausay o el Buen Vivir, concepto de los pueblos oriundos que se basa en vivir en armonía con la naturaleza y la comunidad.
