The adverse reactions to antitubercular and antirretrovirales medicines in adult patients reported to the Clinical educational hospital surgical Daniel Alcides Carrión period 2012-2013.

OBJECTIVE: To determine the adverse reactions to antitubercular and antirretrovirales medicines in adult patients reported to the Clinical Educational Hospital surgical Daniel Alcides Carrión. METHOD: Corresponds to a observacional, retrospec- tive investigation, applied, of explanatory descriptive level and causal design, made in 49 reports of suspi- cion notification of RAMs to medicines of adult pa- tients who consumed antitubercular medicines, antirretrovirales that frequent the Clinical Educational Hospital Surgical Daniel Alcides Carrión. RESULTS: As far as the prevalence of the adverse re- actions to antitubercular medicines, can be observed that the Rifampicina was the one that simultaneously caused multiple adverse reactions like gastritis, nauseas and vomits; whereas with the Antirretrovirales medicines the Zidovudina was the one that produced severe anemia frequently, moderate anemia and neutropenia.CONCLUSIONS: In this study the Rifampicina caused greater effects at level of the gastrointestinal system like nauseas, and vomits, and of moderate type according to degree toxicity, however with antirretrovirales medicines the Zidovudina produced severe anemia, moderate anemia and neutropenia being the most aggressive medicine in comparison to the others, and of toxicity of serious degree.
OBJETIVO: Determinar las reacciones adversas a medicamentos antituberculosos y antirretrovirales en pacientes adultos reportadas al Hospital Docente Clínico quirúrgico Daniel Alcides Carrión. MÉTODO: Corresponde a una investigación obser- vacional, retrospectivo, aplicada, de nivel descriptivo explicativo y de diseño causal, realizado en 49 re- portes de sospecha notificación de RAMs a medica- mentos de pacientes adultos que consumieron me- dicamentos antituberculosos, antirretrovirales que frecuentan el Hospital Docente Clínico Quirúrgico Daniel Alcides Carrión.RESULTADOS: En cuanto a la prevalencia de las reac- ciones adversas a medicamentos antituberculosos, se puede observar que la Rifampicina fue la que oca- sionó reacciones adversas múltiples a la vez como gastritis, náuseas y vómitos; mientras que con los medicamentos Antirretrovirales la Zidovudina fue la que produjo frecuentemente anemia severa, anemia moderada y neutropenia. CONCLUSIONES: En este estudio la Rifampicina pro- vocó mayores efectos a nivel del sistema gastroin- testinal como náuseas, y vómitos, y de tipo mode- rado según toxicidad de grado, en cambio con los medicamentos antirretrovirales la Zidovudina produ- jo anemia severa, anemia moderada y neutropenia siendo el medicamento más agresivo en compara- ción a los otros, y de toxicidad de grado grave.
