Arguments for Liberty is a compilation of essays written by nine renowned academic philosophers, on political freedom, as a just and moral system. Ideas are developed in this sense and neatly making use of Kantian, Objectivist, Rawlsian and morally pluralistic arguments. This book is important for at least two reasons. The first is because freedom matters. The second reason is because philosophy also matters, perhaps to defend freedom.
Arguments for Liberty es una compilación de ensayos escritos por nueve connotados filósofos académicos, sobre la libertad política, como sistema justo y moral. Se desarrollan ideas en este sentido y prolijamente haciendo uso de argumentos de corte kantiano, objetivista, rawlsiano y moralmente pluralista. Este libro es importante por lo menos por dos razones. La primera es porque la libertad importa. La segunda razón es porque la filosofía también importa, acaso para defender la libertad.
