SINOPSIS BIOLÓGICA DE Engraulis ringens (Jenyns, 1842) Anchoveta

La anchoveta se distribuye a lo largo del Pacífico Suroriental, desde la latitud 4° S hasta la latitud 42°30’ S. En el litoral peruano se diferencian dos stocks o unidades poblacionales de esta especie: la norte-centro y la que se comparte con el norte de Chile. Esta especie canaliza la productividad primaria de las aguas (nutrientes), hacia niveles tróficos superiores, forma parte de la dieta de un sinnúmero de organismos. La población de estudio fue toda la información existente de anchoveta mientras la muestra fue la fracción de la información. Se empleó el navegador Google Chrome para hacer uso de los diversos motores de búsqueda, tales como: Google, Google Academic y World Wide Science; donde se colectó la información de diferentes revistas y/o repositorios tal como: Instituto de Mar del Perú, Instituto de Investigación de los Recursos Marinos, entre otras. Esta revisión bibliográfica tiene como objetivo presentar y difundir la información de diferentes autores en una sinopsis biológica de Engraulis ringens anchoveta, que es un recurso pesquero con una notable importancia en el Perú, resaltando específicamente la identidad, la distribución, la bionomía e historia biótica, la nutrición y el crecimiento, el comportamiento, la población y stock. Palabras claves: anchoveta, Engraulis ringens, sinopsis biológica, aguas frías ABSTRACT The anchovy is distributed along the Southeast Pacific, from 4 ° S to 42°30 'S. On the Peruvian coast, there are two stocks or population units of north-central anchovy and the one that is shared with northern Chile. This species channels the primary productivity of the waters (nutrients), towards higher trophic levels, it is part of the diet of countless organisms. The study population was all the existing information on anchovy while the sample was the fraction of the information. The Google Chrome browser was used to make use of the various search engines, such as: Google, Google Academic and World-Wide Science; where information was collected from different journals and / or repositories such as: Instituto de Mar del Perú, Instituto de Investigación de los Recursos Marinos, among others. This bibliographical review aims to present and disseminate information from different authors on a biological synopsis of Engraulis ringens anchovy, which is a fishery resource that is of notable importance in Peru, specifically highlighting the identity, distribution, bionomics and biotic history, nutrition and growth, behavior, population and stock.
