Technology as an ally to fight COVID-19

The infectious disease COVID-19, or commonly called coronavirus disease, has put the whole world on alert and even more so now that the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared it a pandemic. Worldwide, countries are looking for a cure and applying new ways of prevention to flatten the curve of those infected, so both the area of medicine and the area of technology are doing their best to find effective solutions to this pandemic. The fields of artificial intelligence and big data, seek to contribute technologically using the existing information of the citizens and of which it is possible to have confidence, in which many of these services will have a purpose with impact, since they have had exponential advances in the last decades.
La enfermedad infecciosa COVID-19 o comúnmente llamado enfermedad por coronavirus, ha puesto en alerta a todo el mundo y más aún ahora que la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) lo terminó declarando una pandemia. A nivel mundial los países están buscando la cura y aplicando nuevas maneras de prevención para ir aplanando la curva de infectados, es así que tanto el área de medicina como el área de tecnología están haciendo su mayor esfuerzo para encontrar soluciones efectivas ante esta pandemia. Los campos de inteligencia artificial y big data, buscan aportar tecnológicamente usando la información existente de los ciudadanos y de la que se puede tener confianza, en que muchos de estos servicios tendrán una finalidad con impacto, ya que han tenido avances exponenciales en las últimas décadas.
