SEXUALITY IN PREGNANCY

A survey on sexuality during pregnancy 500 postpartum women who had a recent pregnancy and childbirth complications was performed. These patients were treated at the services of Obstetrics Hospital Edgardo Rebagliati Martins National LPSs. Most were between 27 and 35 years old, secondary or higher education and was married. The frequency of intercourse dropped from three or more times a week (53%) before pregnancy once a week to every two weeks in the middle of the pregnant women in the third trimester. 24 percent had no intercourse in the last quarter. Satisfaction also fell in the course of pregnancy, while increased discomfort. 72 percent reported some discomfort during intercourse, mainly in the third quarter (37%). The side position during intercourse was the most used after the sixth month of gestation. The attitude of these variables husband was understanding.
Se realizó una encuesta sobre sexualidad en la gestación a 500 puérperas recientes que tuvieron una gestación y un parto sin complicaciones. Estas pacientes fueron atendidas en los servicios de Obstetricia del Hospital Nacional Edgardo Rebagliati Martins del lPSS. La mayoría tenía entre 27 y 35 años de edad, educación secundaria o superior y era casada. La frecuencia de las relaciones sexuales disminuyó de tres veces o más por semana (53%) antes del embarazo a una vez por semana a cada quince días en la mitad de las gestantes, en el tercer trimestre. Un 24 por ciento no tuvo coito en el último trimestre. El grado de satisfacción también disminuyó con el transcurso del embarazo, mientras las molestias se incrementaron. Un 72 por ciento refirió algún tipo de molestia durante las relaciones sexuales, principalmente en el tercer trimestre (37%). La posición de lado durante el coito fue la más utilizada después del sexto mes de gestación. La actitud del esposo a estas variables fue de comprensión.
