The present study aims to determine the socioeconomic and cultural level of the population of the Plateau-Manchay and reconstruct the process of social participation of the common interlenguage against the transfer of the misttrap technology for the improvement of the environment in the area, it was mainly used the quantitative method in addition to the descriptive and analytical ones. The result of this survey allowed to produce two diagnoses (1996 and 2001) and a proposal of social participation model which can be replicated in other realities, adapting them according to external and internal context. Despite the adverse conditions of poverty and extreme poverty of the misttrap technology area, the population managed to take possession to more integrated, democratic, and social participation.
El presente estudio tiene como objetivo conocer el nivel socioeconómico y cultural de la población de la Meseta-Manchay y reconstruir el proceso de participación social de los comuneros frente a la transferencia de la tecnología el Atrapaniebla para el mejoramiento del medio ambiente de la zona; se utilizó el método cuantitativo, principalmente, además del descriptivo y analítico. El resultado del presente estudio ha permitido elaborar dos diagnósticos (1996 y el 2001) y una propuesta y/o modelo de participación social que se podrá replicarlo en otras realidades, adaptándolas de acuerdo al contexto externo e interno; finalmente, pese a las condiciones adversas de pobreza y pobreza extrema de la zona, la población logró posesionarse como una organización màs integrada, participativa y democrática.
