It is the theoretical and methodological foundation for the planning, execution and evaluation of the academic and professional processes. This text describes the theoretical and educational principles underlying the purpose behind every Education program which begins with an essential reflection: Why do we educate? We believe that the answer to such crucial meditation is that we educate in order to shape a professional that is capable of exercising his freedom with great responsibility fighting every external and internal factor that may prevent him from going the right path. For example, how could a university defend and declare freedom of thought, if such freedom is not possible or necessary as determinism philosophical argue.Un modelo pedagógico expresa la concepción educativa para la formación de profesionales que impulsarán el desarrollo económico, social y cultural del país en un nivel de excelencia. Constituye el referente teórico y metodológico para la planeación, conducción y evaluación de los procesos de formación académico-profesional. El presente documento contiene los postulados doctrinarios y teóricos que fundamentan el quehacer educativo de la carrera de Educación y se abre con la cuestión fundamental ¿para qué educamos?, cuya respuesta plantea como fin formar un profesional que ejerza su libertad con responsabilidad venciendo los factores endógenos y exógenos que pueden torcer su recta opción por el bien.
