ATTITUDES OF STUDENTS FROM THE UNIVERSIDAD NACIONAL MAYOR DE SAN MARCOS TO ORGAN DONATION

The main objective of this study was to assess the attitudes of students from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos to organ donation, for which a sample of 500 students from ten academic-professional schools: Dentistry, Psychology, Biological Sciences, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Law, Education, Accounting and Administration. To carry out this investigation was constructed and applied the “Scale of attitudes toward organ donation”, an instrument that was reliable and valid measure that attitude. The results indicate that students in the academic-professional ten schools are located in the middle level (eneatipos 4, 5 and 6) attitudes toward organ donation. Moreover, students from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos has a more positive attitude than their male peers to organ donation. Also, both men and women are located in the middle level (eneatipo 5) in the attitude toward organ donation.
