The extract was prepared with dried powdered leaves of Minthostachys mollis (muña), by hydroalcoholic maceration, with which solubility tests were carried out with solvents of different polarity, as well as the phytochemical march, then some secondary metabolites were separated by layer chromatography fine obtaining 12 fractions which were read to the UV-vis spectrophotometer. In the hydroalcoholic extract its antioxidant capacity (DPPH, ABTS) was determined. The chemical structure of 5 flavones and 1 flavanone is proposed by visible UV spectroscopy. Good antioxidant capacity was found using the DPPH and ABTS methods.El objetivo de la presente investigación fue identificar algunos metabolitos secundarios en el extracto hidroalcóholico de hojas de Minthostachys mollis (muña), y determinar su Capacidad antioxidante. La especie vegetal se recolectó en el distrito de Huamanguilla (3276 msnm), provincia de Huanta, Ayacucho. El extracto se preparó con hojas secas pulverizadas de Minthostachys mollis (muña), mediante maceración hidroalcóholica, con el que se realizaron ensayos de solubilidad con solventes de diferente polaridad, así como también la marcha fitoquímica, luego se separaron algunos metabolitos secundarios por cromatografía en capa fina obteniéndose 12 fracciones las que fueron leídas al espectrofotómetro UV-vis. En el extracto hidroalcóholico se determinó su capacidad antioxidante (DPPH, ABTS). Mediante espectroscopia UV visible se propone la estructura química de 5 flavonas y 1 flavanona.
