The waters of rivers, seas and lagoons contaminated by various sources, whether of natural or anthropogenic origin, contain polluting substances, among them they present a high bacterial load, which does not allow human consumption because it causes damage to human health. Therefore, the research carried out presents the study of the photocatalytic effect of zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnONPS) as its mechanism of biochemical interaction with the consequent formation of reactive oxygen substances (ROS) and thus propose the interpretation of its subsequent Bactericidal effect by generating cellular damage in Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. According to the results obtained in an experimental pilot work, the decrease in colony formation evaluated through the plate culture method was reported, and it was determined that the concentration of 10- 4 g of ZnONPs/ mL of ZnO nanoparticles (synthesiz...

At present, the environmental legislation of our country regulates the "concentration of contaminating chemical substance", this is presented as a parameter expressed in the Maximum Permissible Limits (LMP). In Peru, it is considered that when the value of the "concentration of contaminating chemical substance" is exceeded, damage is caused to people's health and, in turn, a negative environmental impact is produced on the various ecosystems and biodiversity. The present investigation proposes to study, beyond the "concentration of contaminating chemical substance", to the "amount of contaminating chemical substance" understanding it as an object of evaluation and as a means to know to adapt a better control of environmental contamination that causes environmental damage. It is concluded that incorporating the new environmental parameters of: "flow of materials or flow rate (L / h)" and ...

The purpose of this study was to determine the size of zinc oxide nanoparticles (NPs-ZnO) synthesized by the chemical precipitation method from the precipitation reaction between zinc acetate and sodium hydroxide. Then, characterization was made by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The characterization results obtained by this instrumental method correspond to the zincite structure (ZnO) of the hexagonal system, whose crystalline structural data is registered in the ICDD file PDF 01-075-0576. The determination of the size of NPs-ZnO was performed using the Scherrer equation with data obtained from the diffraction data of the most important planes of the crystal structure of the synthesized nanoparticles. The size of the crystallites determined was approximately 21 nm. This method of determining the size of nanoparticles is not very exact, however, in laboratories that do not have electron microsc...
