La exposición e intoxicación por mercurio (Hg), ha sido referenciada en muchas ocasiones y lugares. El uso indiscriminado de precursores químicos en actividades ilícitas como la minería ilegal de oro, que se ha incrementado considerablemente en los últimos años llevado a que esta sea una de las más peligrosas para los ecosistemas y especies presentes en ella. El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar el riesgo ocupacional al mercurio mediante genotoxicidad por exposición en el proceso de quimbalete minero artesanal, Rinconada – Puno. The study aimed to evaluate the presence of bacteria (total and thermotolerant coliforms) in the treatment of water using Class C Ultraviolet Radiation (UV-C), the research was carried out in the Quality Control Laboratory of the Treatment Plant of Potable Water of the EPS, EMSA Puno, because current regulations require that total and thermotolerant coliform readings in drinking water should be 0 CFU / 100 ml, with UV-C radiation being an alternative for the decrease in Chlorine use.
