Based on the analysis of three decisions issued by the Commission of Repression of UnfairCompetition of the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and Intellectual Property(INDECOPI), this article provides an insight on the legal treatment applicable to the challengedadvertising as an infringement of the rights of dignity and non-discrimination against women (sexistadvertising) making a comparison with the current legal system.

This study aims to highlight the research carried out by female Peruvian lawyers in the Law field. It also mentions the positions in national and international public administration held bywomen, enabling women’s visibility in the Law field.

La presente investigación es de tipo cualitativa, descriptiva, explicativa y exegética; y tiene como objetivo general determinar si la actual normativa así como la entidad encargada otorgan una eficiente protección a los conocimientos colectivos o tradicionales de los pueblos indígenas del Perú vinculado a los recursos biológicos; y en el especial realizamos el estudio sobre la maca toda vez que se ha generado una creciente apropiación de este recurso biológico utilizando el sistema de propiedad intelectual, patentándose en países como Estados Unidos, Japón, Korea, China y en países de Europa.
