Our experience in managing Mityvac Vacuum Delivery System in 25 patients in the Peripheral Hospital SFP. "Augusto B. Legula" requiring assistance during the second stage, demonstrates the practical and simple handling and low cost, making it an essential tool in every delivery room to solve problems in the terminal stage of labor.

The incidence of ovarian cancer in a General Hospital is presented, as is the Central Hospital of the Health of the Police Forces, making a study of all cases filed in the span of 25 years (1959-1983) diagnosed in the Department HCSFP Pathology. Of a total of 296.704 patients have been screened for cancer at the Department of Gynecology 647 cases of gynecologic cancer, 61 cases of ovarian cancer with an incidence of 9.5%, with 70% of advanced stays were diagnosed and 30% Started with a 5-year survival without disease 21.3%. One group of 50 patients with diagnosis of ovarian neoplasia in different periods of pregnancy and that required emergency surgery for complications. Hormonal treatment is shown to compensate for the absence of corpus luteum in the first weeks of pregnancy and two cases of ovarian malignancy associated with pregnancy are presented, showing their treatment and evolution.

The surgical treatment in pregnant women do not differ from the nonpregnant patient. The fetus as the mother greatly benefit from an accurate diagnosis and treatment. The surgeon and obstetrician will gain benefit by consulting in the pre and post operative treatment of pregnant women.
