Capsicum chinense “ají supano” is an ecotype typical of the countryside of Supe veryappreciated in the regional cuisine for its aroma and flavor. This ecotype to date hasno studies, so the objective of the present study is to characterize it molecularly toidentify intragenotypic variability of 30 individuals of chili peppers from the lowerSupe river basin using molecular markers ISSR. Fruits were collected from fourfarmers during the month of November, 2016, being the seeds selected randomly,for their establishment in pots in house mesh. DNA was extracted from three youngleaves using the Micro - CTAB method modified by Biotechnology Lab of PIPS inCereals and Native Crops of UNALM to molecular analysis. Perezia coerulescens, a native peruvian species, is used as tranquilizer in folk medicine and considered vulnerable status due extensive collection for its commercialization. Then, the aim of this research was obtain somatic embryos as alternative for its multiplication.Leaves, roots, rhyzomes, small shoot (15 – 20 mm) and big shoot (25 – 30 mm) from plants culture in vitro were grown using MS½ culture medium with sucrose (2%), agaragar (0,75%), 16 hours of light, 16 – 20 ºC, supplemented with NAA (2 mg/L), 2, 4-D (0,2; 1 and 2 mg/L) and without hormone. It was found that NAA (2 mg/L) and 2, 4-D (2 mg/L) induced callogenesis in 100% of small shoot and big shoot at two months, likewise 2, 4-D (1 mg/L) induced 100% of callogenesis of small shoot and big shoot at four months. Los estudios sobre ajíes nativos en el Perú son escasos, por lo que el objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar y determinar las propiedades fisicoquímicas y metabólicas presentes en los frutos del ají supano (Capsicum chinense Jacq.), con el fin de darle valor agregado a sus cualidades nutriceúticas y correlacionarlas con las posibilidades de su industrialización; para lo cual se tomaron muestras de frutos de diferentes estados de color, a nivel de pequeños agricultores de la Campiña de Supe.
