The present report consisted in determining the optimal method of extraction of total flavonoids from the flowers of Cordia lutea Lam. "Flower of overo" collected from the district of Cormot, province of Gran Chimú. The flowers of Cordia lutea Lam were collected. "Flower of overo" in the flowering season during the month of February - March, which were subjected to cleaning, selection, stabilization, spraying, screening and storage. The extraction of extracts was then carried out by different methods of extraction. From the extracts the total flavonoids were obtained, the total flavonoids were quantified by UV-visible spectrophotometry obtaining the results expressed as Quercetin. The optimum total flavonoid yield of flowers of Cordia lutea Lam. Was extracted by Soxhlet, obtaining a percentage of 2.42 ± 0.0012%

The objective of this research was to determine the physicochemical characteristics and determination of the relative percentage of the oxygenated and hydrocarbon components of the essential oil of the Lantana cámara L. "Santa Maria". The essential oil extraction of Lantana camara was carried out by means of the water vapor trapping method "Hydrodistillation". The performance was determined by the clevenger equipment where 0.4% of the essential oil present in the leaves of Lantana camara L. The organoleptic characteristics were determined (spicy taste, suigeneris odor, transparent yellow color and oily texture); Within the physicochemical parameters were found (density of 0.93880, pH 4, refractive index 1.48868, acid index 3.366); And the solubility was higher with respect to ethanol grade from (70 ° 80 ° 96 ° GL.) And complete in n-hexane and ethyl ether. Finally, the relative perce...

Essential oils are one of the most important products in the agricultural and food industry, as they are obtained from aromatic plants using various extraction techniques, such as steam distillation or hydrodistillation. However, these methods present challenges, such as low efficiency, limited selectivity, extensive use of solvents and long extraction times. Moreover, the quality of the oils obtained can be affected by hydrolysis or oxidation due to the duration and amount of water used in the process. This review updates the information on Clevenger-type hydrodistillation extraction of four high-value commercial plant species: Matricaria chamomilla, Rosmarinus officinalis, Origanum vulgare, and Eucalyptus spp. The aim is to evaluate the results of original articles, considering the origin and characteristics of the plant material, extraction conditions, yield and metabolites. The searc...
