The objective of the study was to describe the body mass index of first academic semester students of the Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry School of the National University Micaela Bastidas from Apurímac (UNAMBA). The research design was of an analytical cross-sectional type at three different moments. The total of first-semester students from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry of UNAMBA from 2017 to 2019 participated in the study. The nutritional status was determined anthropometrically, at through the Body Mass Index, based on current protocols of the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization. El objetivo del estudio fue determinar el porcentaje de infección y factores asociados a la presentación de Sarcocystis aucheniae en alpacas y llamas faenadas en la provincia de Lucanas, Ayacucho, Perú. Se sistematizó la información recuperada de los cuadernos diarios de faenado del matadero, formatos epidemiológicos de enfermedades detectadas en el centro de beneficio y fichas de estadística mensual de beneficio de ganado; los cuales provenían en los almacenes de la Municipalidad Provincial de Lucanas y del Servicio Nacional de Sanidad Agraria.
