Objetivos del estudio: Determinar el impacto de la pandemia por COVID-19 en la evolución clínica y resultados postoperatorios de pacientes intervenidos por apendicitis aguda. Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza, 2019-2021. Metodología: se propone la ejecución de un estudio observacional, comparativo y retrospectivo. La población a considerar serán los pacientes intervenidos por apendicitis aguda en la institución de estudio. De donde se seleccionará una muestra. Se conformarán dos grupos: el grupo 1: pacientes con apendicitis aguda operados entre marzo 2019 a febrero 2020 (previo a la pandemia por COVID-19). Mientras que el grupo II: pacientes atendidos con apendicitis aguda operados entre marzo 2020 a febrero 2021 (durante la pandemia por COVID-19). El impacto se determinará aplicando la prueba Chi cuadrado para variables cualitativas y t de Student para cuantitativas.
