The objective of this study was to assess the effectiveness of a role-play-based learner training program to improve Basic I students’ English oral communication skills at Microsystems Institution in Iquitos 2021. The research is of an evaluative type with field study, contemporary transectional, univariate and quasi-experimental designs, with pre-test, post-test, and control group. The population consisted of 40 students with a non-probabilistic sample of 20 students: 10 students in the experimental group and 10 students in the control group.
