The use of diesel engine turbochargers is increasing today, as it represents an option that o ers high e ciency and low fuel consumption. To design the control system in order to reduce the level of exhaust emissions there is a need for information about all states that are not measurable. To this end, observers or virtual sensors are more frequently applied, achieving estimates of the system states from inputs and measured output. To propose an observer, the precise mathematical model of the air path diesel engine system is used. This is a nonlinear model of a third order which is analyzed in terms of observability. From the point of view of systems theory, certain conditions and the existence of a transformation of the system state, called di eomorphism, need to be evaluated. La atresia esofágica es una patología vista constantemente en los hospitales de alta complejidad, sin embargo, en nuestra región no existen estudios actualizados sobre la mortalidad y los factores por los cuales llegaron a fallecer estos pacientes. Objectives: To determine a score for risk assessment and screening of pregnant women with and without preeclampsia. Design: Cross-sectional, analytical, case-control study. Institution: Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Hospital III Honorio Delgado de Arequipa, Peru. Participants: Pregnant women with and without preeclampsia (PE) who had normal or dystocic vaginal delivery in our Department between June 2015 and June 2016. Main outcome measures: Bivariate analysis of risk factors for preeclampsia. Determination of a cutoff point of risk for preeclampsia. Results: 253 patients were evaluated, 132 patients belonged to the control group and 121 cases to the PE group.
