Confirmar la posición de este artículo que el manejo del paciente no garantiza un desenlace exitoso, pues las enfermedades periodontales usualmente involucran numerosas y complejas causas y síntomas. Finalmente decir que el diagnóstico, tratamiento y manejo de la enfermedad, así como la terapia preventiva posterior debe ser hecha por el Clínico tratante basado en las circunstancias específicas que se presentan en el paciente.
