The article presents a Parser class in Java to evaluate algebraic expressions using fundamental algorithms for the construction of compilers, passing from the conversion of expressions from infix to postfix, the evaluation of postfix expressions, the evaluation for precedence of operators, parser algorithms of precedence and construction algorithm of precedence functions. The goal of the article is to write a lexical analyser in a conventional language of systems programming, using the possibilities of input and output of Java language in order to read expressions to evaluate from the input, to process them and to send the results to the output.

This paper draws up an overview on the current status of in-house providing techniques in Spain. The concept of administrative self-supply is provided in order to cover and explain the most common modes of fulfilling the needs of services, goods and utilities whitin the public sector. We discuss the “make or buy decisions”, according to the new public procurement Act (9/2017), and the rise of public markets apart from business markets. Finally, we put this subject under the light of the transnational debate about the need of improving performance of public sector as a tool for Werlfare State empowerment.

Studying the actions of several institutions, as well as the popular belief according to which Galician people and Portuguese people have enough common ground as to fully understand each other, this article considers the reality of the matter in the context of international negotiation. We will study the use of the Galician language in international business, and then refute—or not—the hypothesis which indicates that the use of Galician can be the first step in a mutual understanding, but that it is necessary to be more deeply immersed in the language before facing an international negotiation—immersed in a way that also includes cultural knowledge.

The purpose of this study was to examine the scientific production of empirical articles regarding twice exceptionality – giftedness/ADHD – through a systematic review. The search was carried out in the Portal de Periódicos Capes, SciELO, and PePSIC databases, considering the publications between 2011 and 2021. The terms giftedness, high abilities, ADHD, twice exceptionality, and their counterparts in Portuguese were used as descriptors. We selected 27 articles based on pre-established inclusion criteria. Six categories of studies were identified: socio-emotional factors, interpersonal relationships, identification, inattention and hyperactivity, intelligence quotient, and educational support practices. The conclusion was that by having their individual needs met and school community support, gifted students with ADHD can academically succeed, have a positive self-concept and good i...

Schools with an inclusive perspective are considered an efficient tool to fight the discriminatory attitudes. In the case of gifted students, there has been an interest in carrying out studies involving those who present, simultaneously to the higher abilities, behavioral, emotional and learning difficulties, a phenomenon named dual exceptionality. The purpose of this case study was to analyze the educational inclusion of a gifted student with Asperger’s disorder from the perspective of managers, teachers, mother and student himself. The educational inclusion of the participant was considered a complex and multidimensional process because it depends on the participation of the whole school community and family. It was verified that the specialized educational service favored the inclusion of the dual exceptional student.

Hub and spoke infringements involve illegal agreements between direct competitors (“spokes”) facilitated by a common supplier or customer (“hub”). These agreements combine vertical behaviors that may be seen as horizontal collusion by competition authorities. They are typically categorized as by-object infringements and carry significant penalties. Various actions, such as price indication and monitoring, are necessary to connect the vertical and horizontal aspects of the infringement. These practices pose challenges for competition law, such as reconciling them with legal concepts and determining the burden of proof. The authors aim to address these questions and evaluate hub and spoke infringement based on applicable rules, past decisions, and relevant literature.

Magnetic fields (MF) are increasingly being applied in food processing to preserve food quality. They can be static (SMF), oscillating (OMF) or pulsed (PMF) depending on the type of equipment. The food characteristics can be influenced by several configurations of the applied magnetic field as its flux density, frequency, polarity and exposure time. Several mechanisms have been proposed to explain the eects of magnetic fields on foods. Some of them propose interactions at the subatomic particle level that show quantum behavior, such as the radical pair and cyclotron resonance mechanisms. Other proposals are at the level of DNA, compounds, subcellular organelles and cells. The interactions between food and magnetic fields are addressed in a general way in this work, highlighting the applications and action models involved and their eects on the physicochemical, enzymatic and microbiologic...
