The article presents a Parser class in Java to evaluate algebraic expressions using fundamental algorithms for the construction of compilers, passing from the conversion of expressions from infix to postfix, the evaluation of postfix expressions, the evaluation for precedence of operators, parser algorithms of precedence and construction algorithm of precedence functions. The goal of the article is to write a lexical analyser in a conventional language of systems programming, using the possibilities of input and output of Java language in order to read expressions to evaluate from the input, to process them and to send the results to the output.

Studying the actions of several institutions, as well as the popular belief according to which Galician people and Portuguese people have enough common ground as to fully understand each other, this article considers the reality of the matter in the context of international negotiation. We will study the use of the Galician language in international business, and then refute—or not—the hypothesis which indicates that the use of Galician can be the first step in a mutual understanding, but that it is necessary to be more deeply immersed in the language before facing an international negotiation—immersed in a way that also includes cultural knowledge.

Magnetic fields (MF) are increasingly being applied in food processing to preserve food quality. They can be static (SMF), oscillating (OMF) or pulsed (PMF) depending on the type of equipment. The food characteristics can be influenced by several configurations of the applied magnetic field as its flux density, frequency, polarity and exposure time. Several mechanisms have been proposed to explain the eects of magnetic fields on foods. Some of them propose interactions at the subatomic particle level that show quantum behavior, such as the radical pair and cyclotron resonance mechanisms. Other proposals are at the level of DNA, compounds, subcellular organelles and cells. The interactions between food and magnetic fields are addressed in a general way in this work, highlighting the applications and action models involved and their eects on the physicochemical, enzymatic and microbiologic...

The restoration of endodontically treated teeth (RETT) is a subject in constant study, in order to obtain safe clinical protocols that can improve treatments longevity. In recent years, the search for complementary methodologies to bond-strength proves has been growing for evaluating RETTE, being important to know the most used complementary methods’ advantages and disadvantages to evaluate this. The aim of this study is to present a literature review on complementary methods to bond strength and the fracture strength tests. The articles search was done in databases: PUBMED, BBO (Brazilian Dental Library), LILACS (Health Literature of Latin America and the Caribbean), SciELO and Medline, using the keywords “endodontically treated teeth” and “prefabricated post” from 1990 to 2020. Out of 360 articles 295 were excluded because they did not present relevant information for this re...

Enzyme-mediated in situ functionalization of cotton fibers was studied using laccase. Caffeic acid and morin were used as reactive phenolic substrates for laccase and further employed to the modification of fiber surfaces. Laccase-mediated oxidation and polymerization reactions of caffeic acid were monitored by ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy. During the wetting process, initial cationization of fiber surfaces using poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) followed by enzymatic treatment with phenolic substrates resulted ineffective polymer grafting evidenced by high color stability. Changes of fiber surface properties by polymer grafting, such as morphology and hydrophilicity/hydrophobicity, were tested using scanning electron microscopy and gravimetric absorption tests. An acceptable level of color resistance to washing stress was obtained on caffeic acid treated samples, and a high l...

Endocervical adenocarcinomas (EACs) are a group of malignant neoplasms associated with diverse pathogenesis, morphology, and clinical behavior. As a component of the International Society of Gynecological Pathologists International Endocervical Adenocarcinoma Project, a large international retrospective cohort of EACs was generated in an effort to study potential clinicopathological features with prognostic significance that may guide treatment in these patients. In this study, we endeavored to develop a robust human papillomavirus (HPV)-associated EAC prognostic model for surgically treated International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) stage IA2 to IB3 adenocarcinomas incorporating patient age, lymphovascular space invasion (LVSI) status, FIGO stage, and pattern of invasion according to the Silva system (traditionally a 3-tier system). Recently, a 2-tier/binary Silva patt...
