El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar la asociación entre las ideas fatalistas ante el posible contagio del coronavirus según el tipo de enfermedad que padecían los pacientes peruanos. Se realizó un estudio analítico de datos secundarios, que usó una data previa para obtener a encuestados que padecían alguna enfermedad (según 9 grupos/especialidades médicas), se cruzó esto según el pensamiento fatalista (de una prueba validada). De los 4483 encuestados, 15% tuvo una enfermedad. Los que padecían una enfermedad respiratoria percibían que se complicarían post infección (p<0,001), también los que tenían algún cáncer o tumor (p<0,001) o los que tenían una enfermedad endocrinológica (p=0,002).
