This paper addresses tensions and strengths of building a feminist justice in the Argentinean context. From an essayistic methodology, we discuss the broad possibilities of justice and the contributions of feminisms in addressing violence against women and feminized bodies, beyond the responses reduced to punitivism/guilt/punishment dynamics. First, we analyze the tensions between state versus popular legal culture based on the Feminist Popular Ethical Tribunal Judgment (2018). Then, we address the limits and contradictions of posing the solution of social conflicts from the criminal language; we use as an example the parliamentary debate on Voluntary Interruption of Pregnancy in which its (de)criminalization was discussed in a scenario of civil society participation in Argentina.
