OBJETIVO. La infección por SARS-COV-2 tiene tasas de letalidad altas. Personas con diabetes mellitus (DM) desarrollan formas severas de infección con alta mortalidad. El objetivo del estudio es determinar la proporción de mortalidad hospitalaria, así como el tiempo de hospitalización y los factores relacionados con la mortalidad hospitalaria, en pacientes con DM y diagnóstico de COVID-19 en un hospital del tercer nivel de atención de Lima, Perú. DISEÑO DEL ESTUDIO Y MÉTODOS. Estudio transversal, observacional y retrospectivo. Se incluyeron todos los pacientes mayores de 18 años con antecedente de DM ingresados a hospitalización por COVID-19. Objetive: To issue contextualized recommendations for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in patients with heart failure. Materials and methods: GPC published in the last 3 years were systematically searched in databases, repositories, and guideline development organizations. Those that achieve a score >60% in the overall evaluation with the AGREE-II instrument were selected. From each guide, the recommendations with their respective clinical question were extracted. The acceptability and applicability of the recommendations to the Peruvian context were evaluated by medical specialists from different institutions in the country (MINSA, EsSalud and armed forces) using the ADAPTE matrix.
