The study seeks to prove that the use of Techniques of Responsive Feeding contributes to improvement of eating habits through the acceptance of new foods in children 2 to 3 years old. The study is an applied type, descriptive level and a cross-sectional descriptive design. The population was consisted of 66 preschool children from an educational institution, called I.E.I. “Niño Jesús de Praga”, in 2014. The observation instrument for caregivers was applied. In addition, the Chi-square statistical test was employed to measure the significance level of the study. The results indicate that the application of techniques facilitates the consumption of new foods in the diet of preschool children, and therefore, it could be asserted that the accepting of new foods, and the use of the Techniques of Responsive Feeding to children from 2 to 3 year...

The research was experimental, applicative, pre- and post-test. A sample of 24 Holtzman rats, 1.5 months, weight 210 g (control group and two experimental groups, 8 rats with intake of the extract 1.5 ml and 3 ml) was taken for the study. The bioactive compounds found in the passion fruit extract were: Vitamin C (11.9 mg/100 ml), Antioxidant capacity (23531.6 u mol Trolox /100ml), Polyphenols 480.64 ±0.31 mg Ác. Gallic Acid /100 ml. The averages of atherogenic indexes I, II, III, IV after ingestion were: For the control group 3.31, 1.96, 2.31 and 1.53; for the group (1.5 ml) they were 3.14, 1.84, 2.14, 1.53 and for the group (3 ml) they were 3.52, 2.11, 2.52, 1.89, respectively. The amounts of HDL obtained after ingestion of passion fruit extract had a significant influence on the reduction of atherogenic indices, which had a positive effect, reducing cardiovascular risk factors.

Chronic kidney disease is a progressive disease that affects the glomeruli. The objective of this research was to establish the nutritional and dietary requirements of the elderly with chronic kidney disease on ambulatory hemodialysis. The study was descriptive level of secondary sources and the population was older adults with hemodialysis. The study subject requires 1.1 to 1.2 g / kg protein weight to cover the protein turnover rate and losses during hemodialysis; likewise, sodium, potassium and phosphorus requirements are reduced; as for the others, macro and micronutrients sufficient according to the adequacy for the elderly. The following conclusion was reached: The nutritional requirement is modified by increasing the intake of protein and energy, reducing and controlling food sources of sodium, potassium, phosphorus and water.

Antarctica, the White Continent, is the refuge of typical species, where temperatures range from -85 to 2 oC, UV radiation can penetrate 30 m depth and salinity reaches 32-34%. Among these species, brown macroalgae (Pheophytas) and red macroalgae (Rhodophytas) are mainly evaluated as potential food and health resources for mankind. The macroalgae collected in February 2019 were taxonomically classified into 6 species: Desmarestia confervoides, (hacer la consulta con el autor/IMARPE) Desmarestia antarctica, Himantothallus grandifolius, Palmaria decipiens, Gigartina skottsbergii and Curdiea racovitzae. This research determined organic matter ranging from 12 to 20%, iron (atomic absorption), polyphenols and flavonoids (quantitative methods). The results revealed that the content of iron ranged from 6.72 to 154 mg%, polyphenols from 22.4 to 78.4 mg% an...
