El objetivo de esta investigación es estudiar la eficiencia de los sistemas de control pasivo para mejorar la respuesta sísmica de las edificaciones. En los primeros capítulos de la presente tesis se usa el lenguaje de programación Python para obtener las respuestas sísmicas de modelos simplificados de edificaciones, con diferente número de niveles, las cuales incorporan cuatro sistemas de control pasivo distintos. Dichos modelos simplificados emplean las siguientes suposiciones: la edificación usa un modelo de masas concentradas de n GDL cuyas propiedades se obtienen de un modelo de viga de corte, la estructura principal tiene un comportamiento lineal y elástico y por último, el periodo fundamental es directamente proporcional al número de niveles. This paper aims to study the efficiency of energy dissipators, both fluid viscous and hysteretic, to improve the seismic responses of buildings. To quantify the ability of energy dissipators to reduce seismic responses, a series of time history analyzes were carried out on simplified models of buildings. Said simplified models consist of masses and springs with linear and elastic behavior whose properties are obtained from a shear beam model, joined by link elements with non-linear behavior to simulate energy dissipators. The main study parameters that were considered are the fundamental period of the structure without seismic control devices and the objective reduction factor.
