The present research was carried out with the purpose of determining the relationship between the positive mental health criteria and the academic performance of the students of the Faculty of Nursing - National University of Trujillo 2016. The sample consisted of 96 Nursing students who met the inclusion criteria. For the data collection, the instrument was used: scale for assessing Positive Mental Health, elaborated by Lluch (1999) adapted in our environment by Mendo (2014) And the format of Academic Performance developed by MINEDU (1993, modified in 2003). El presente trabajo de investigación fue realizado con el objetivo de Determinar la relación entre las características sociodemográficas: edad, sexo, nivel educativo y parentesco con el nivel de conocimiento de medidas preventivas en el familiar cuidador del paciente con enfermedad renal crónica en Centro de Salud Renal Primavera. Fue del tipo básica, cuantitativa, no experimental y correlacional de corte trasversal. La muestra estuvo constituida por 55 familiares cuidadores. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó un cuestionario sobre medidas preventivas y factores socio demográficos en el familiar cuidador del paciente.
