La investigadora, observadora de la problemática existente en la I.E. N° 80019 “Ciro Alegría Bazán” de Trujillo, en el año 2020, concerniente al escaso desarrollo de la psicomotricidad y las deficiencias en cuanto a la escritura que presentaban los niños de primer grado de primaria, decidió realizar una investigación para averiguar si estas variables estaban relacionadas, apoyándose en los puntos de vista de las teorías y de los psicomotricistas, quienes refieren que la psicomotricidad fina, así como la lateralidad, tienen implicancias en el aprendizaje de la escritura.
