La investigación realizada en plantaciones permanentes de chirimoyo del Instituto de InvestigaciónFrutícola Olerícola de la Facultad de Ciencias Agrarias, ubicado a 1948 msnm, se realizó con elobjetivo de determinar el efecto del tipo de poda, en la fenología de la chirimoya. La población de144 plantas se distribuyó en tres tratamientos fueron poda de rejuvenecimiento, fructificación y mixtacon tres repeticiones en Diseño Completo al Azar. Se concluyó que los tipos de poda no tienen efectoen el tiempo de latencia, brotamiento y emisión de hojas. Árboles con poda de rejuvenecimientomostraron precocidad al diferenciar yemas en 9 días; 93.3% de floración con pétalos normalesy 66,7 % de fructificación.
