El presente trabajo de investigación reporta los resultados de la efectividad del uso del zinc vía oral en la disminución de la enfermedad diarreica aguda en niños de 6 meses a 2 años del Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño Lima 2013. Investigación de tipo experimental y diseño utilizado es cuasi-experimental de medición de un grupo Pre y Post Test. Se tomó una muestra de 174 niños de 6 meses a 2 años divididos en un grupo control y experimental, atendidos con episodio de diarrea aguda, con deshidratación que acudirán a la unidad de rehidratación oral (URO) del Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño.
