This quantitative research study is correlational and cross-sectional descriptive. Was conducted with preschool children and their mothers from four institutions of early childhood education sector Manuel Arevalo II Stage -La Esperanza, 2014, in order to determine the relationship between maternal factors: age, level of education, monthly family income and practices food of mothers and nutritional status of preschoolers. The sample consisted of 150 preschool children between 3 and 5 years of age and their mothers.
