Las organizaciones hospitalarias se relacionan con la atención de pacientes y condiciones críticas de salud, es poco común asociarlas con aspectos relacionados con lo ambiental, la sostenibilidad y la responsabilidad social, en el caso colombiano desde finales del siglo XX ha venido incluyendo aspectos de la gestión empresarial ambiental a sus labores estratégicas y operativas, en el último decenio el surgimiento de la Red Global de Hospitales Verdes y Saludables ha impulsado este interés de cumplir por un menor impacto ambiental desde sus acciones cotidianas. Objective: To determine the prospective scenario for nursing in the approach to sustainability in the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals for the year 2030 from the perception of a group of nursing professionals in Mexico. Method: Prospective, cross-sectional study, with a census sample of (n=18) of the total number of students in a master's degree program in nursing sciences at a Mexican university. Objective: To explain the investment in health in times of COVID-19 and its impact on nursing care. Development: The Peruvian Government allocated fiscal resources to face the pandemic, however, this was insufficient, reflected in shortages of hospital beds, personal protective equipment, essential supplies and human resources in health. Added to this, the workforce of nursing professionals who were left to face the pandemic increased due to comorbidity licenses of colleagues, which ultimately exacerbated infections.
