Introducción: Existen diferentes estudios que asocian el Reflujo Faringolaríngeo (RFL) con disfonía, dicho síntoma está presente en más del 90% de los casos confirmados. Objetivo: Demostrar si el reflujo faringolaríngeo es factor de riesgo para la disfunción de cuerdas vocales en pacientes adultos del Hospital II Chocope. Material y métodos: Estudio observacional, analítico, del tipo casos y controles, retrospectivas. Población de estudio conformada por pacientes atendidos en el Servicio de Otorrinolaringología del Hospital II Chocope durante septiembre 2017 – noviembre 2017; y que cumplan con los siguientes criterios de selección. We present the case of a male patient aged one year and six months, diagnosed with chronicgranulomatous disease since the first month of life, due to a mutation in the CYBB gene. Earlydiagnosis was possible due to a family history of the same disease in an older brother aged 11years and the detection of the mutation in the mother (carrier). The patient had a history of twohospitalizations. The first lasted five months and was due to a diagnosis of community-acquiredpneumonia, complicated by respiratory failure, acute infectious diarrhea due to Pseudomonasaeruginosa and cytomegalovirus infection.
