El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo general establecer las características psicométricas de la escala de afrontamiento en padres de hijos con discapacidad, Lima, 2018; investigación que tiene como base teórica la teoría transaccional del estrés y el afrontamiento de Lazarus y Folkman (1986). El diseño que se utilizo es de tipo instrumental, la muestra estuvo compuesta por 192 padres de familia que tienen hijos con discapacidad, de cinco Cebes (centros de educación básica especial) de Lima. Se realizó la validez basada en el contenido a través de juicio de expertos. The objective of this article was to determine the psychometric evidence of the coping scale in parents of children with disabilities in Lima. The study was a non-experimental, cross-sectional and psychometric design. The sampling was not probabilistic and at the convenience of the researchers with a sample of 246 parents from three special basic education centers, in an age range of 20 to 57 years. The validation development was developed with the validity based on the content through expert judgment and psychometric evaluation in two studies.
