ABSTRACT Quantitative and non-experimental research of descriptive, cross-sectional correlational type; The objective of this study was to establish the relationship between lifestyle and metabolic control: body mass index, glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, lipid profile in mature adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus -that attended the attention module of the Hospital de Especialidades Básicas La Noria- 2015. The sample consisted of 20 patients with diabetes mellitus type 2, for the data collection 02 instruments were used: a characterization instrument to identify clinical characteristics and the Instrument to measure the lifestyle in diabetics (IMEID),account for ethical considerations.
